Hi, I’m Briege - the maker behind BKlay Studio.

Pottery started out as my creative escape from corporate America and quickly became something I couldn’t stop doing. What began as a hobby turned into a small porch studio in Austin where I make small batches of hand-thrown, hand-painted ceramics outside of my day job.

My work reflects both sides of me - sometimes playful and whimsical, sometimes more natural and simple. Because every piece is made by hand, no two ever come out exactly the same.

Most days I’m at the wheel with the company of my studio assistant Roosevelt - my very floofy cat - nearby purring and supervising.

I would also love to see everyone try pottery at least once. If you’re local to Austin and interested in learning I offer private & semi-private wheel-throwing lessons.
